Our Program

The Atlanta Steel Orchestra (ASO) is a youth-centered music program that offers hands-on instruction in steelpan — the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago. Open to children and teens ages 8–18, ASO provides year-round group classes, workshops, and performance opportunities that cultivate musical skill, discipline, and cultural appreciation.

Students learn to play the steelpan in a fun, supportive environment while also developing teamwork, leadership, and confidence. ASO integrates academic support, mentorship, and community engagement into its programming, ensuring a holistic experience for every participant. Rooted in the spirit of unity and celebration, ASO connects youth to the rich legacy of Caribbean music and empowers them to share their voices with the world.
